PRmoment founder Ben Smith caught up with Santander's Head of Media Relations and Employee Communications Andy Smith to discuss why in house teams, the buyers of PR, both enter and make sure they know who are the winners of the high profile PR Award schemes and specifically The PRmoment Awards.
Andy Smith tells us that while creativity is important, it is the objectives that really matter. He believes that creativity, the campaign wow factor, may be the method that helps get you therebut it is it the strategy and objectives that are the most important part of a PR campaign.
Andy tells us that in house PR teams like Santander enter The PRmoment Awards for two reasons.
- It’s great to have your activity measured against your peers and judged by third party people.
- For his team, both from a development perspective and for a morale perspective.
