StickyGinger has been appointed as the official PR agency for the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), in a GCC-wide directive that marks one of the most significant destination communications accounts in the region.
Effective immediately, the Dubai-based agency takes on full communications responsibility for the authority, covering media relations, press enquiries and strategic communications.
The mandate carries considerable weight. Ras Al Khaimah has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, from a quiet northern emirate into a serious contender on the global tourism map. The destination welcomed 1.35 million overnight visitors in 2025, a 6% year-on-year increase. RAKTDA has set an ambitious target of 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030, supported by plans to double hotel keys, expand air connectivity, and grow sustainable nature-based and cultural experiences. Major developments in the pipeline include Wynn Al Marjan Island — the UAE's first integrated resort, expected to open spring 2027 — alongside Janu Al Marjan and Armani Beach Residences.
The win is the latest in a strong run of mandates for StickyGinger. The agency recently secured GCC PR for Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, focusing on luxury traveller engagement, and strategic communications for ULTA Beauty's Middle East market entry. It also won social media and PR for Marks & Spencer Middle East and Watsons GCC under Al-Futtaim Group, alongside PR for BRED Abu Dhabi, adding to earlier work with ŠKODA, Skechers, and Moonrise across lifestyle, hospitality, and retail.
