If you had your time again what career would you choose? A footballer? An astronaut? Perhaps a tree surgeon? Tree surgery aside (which has always appealed) it seems to me that right now you could do worse than a career in public affairs.  Public affairs professionals with a good Tory network are at a premium at the moment and despite the tricky economic times it seems that with the predicted incoming Cameron government public affairs consultancies are prepared to spend when it comes to the hiring of experienced top Tories. I think it''s too late for me but I guess if you are in that space - make hay while the sun shines!
