The Suzy Ferguson Spirit Award, an industry award launched by Gorkana last year, is now open for nominations.
The award, which aims to recognise a communications professional with exceptional character, determination and integrity, was set up in honour of Suzy’s memory.
Suzy Ferguson sadly passed away from bowel cancer in July 2012, aged just 31. She was “an inspirational person, whose work impacted clients and fellow professionals. Suzy also worked tirelessly in the community outside her work, even after she was diagnosed with bowel cancer.”
Suzy’s former employer Lewis PR decided to launch the industry award, now in its second year, in honour of her memory and teamed up with Gorkana, in partnership with Bowel Cancer UK.
The inaugural winner was Rosie Warin, who worked at Forster Communications at the time and is now the co-managing director at Global Tolerance.
The closing date for nominations is December 19th. You can find out more regarding the criteria at the Suzy Microsite.
