An art exhibition featuring pieces from PR practitioners, and organised by Boldspace senior creative Adrian Lee, sold over 10 paintings during its limited opening this month.
The event, which ran between 18-23 November at The Coningsby Gallery, London, featured work from Tonye Ekine, ROSL 2024 Rising Star and Venice Biennale fellow, professional portraitist Stella Tooth and collaborative artist David Emmanual Noel.
Alongside those were emerging PR artists, Nadia Padayachy, Simon Moore, Joe Thomas, Ruby Quince, Emily Rose Halladay, Justine Bower, Francesca Hales, Alexandra Heybourne and Adrian Lee.
Having welcomed 300 visitors through its doors, the event, which was created from a LinkedIn post by Lee, highlights the level of creative talent working in the sector. “There are many incredibly creative individuals lurking in different areas of comms,” said Lee.
“A showcase for artists in the PR sector is long overdue. Artists often have day jobs, and this exhibition gathers some of the incredibly talented, dedicated and inspiring artists from the world of PR. The Art of PR [has provided] a platform for the Picassos of publicity and the Michelangelos in media relations for the first time.”
