“By leveraging your power, we have a chance at changing the world”, said Kate James, Chief Communications Officer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as she finished her lecture on ‘The Business of Changing the World’ at the 52nd Annual Distinguished Lecture & Awards Dinner at the Yale Club of New York City.
Kate, who runs global communications for the foundation and tries to raise awareness on issues surrounding poverty, health and education, discussed how the Dove ‘Real Beauty’ campaign made a connection with their audience separate to “just soap”, and why that process is important when it comes to communicating global issues.
