Doha-based strategic communications consultancy BLJ Worldwide has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar-based AI media intelligence platform Aligator Technology LLC to improve regional media monitoring and analytics capabilities.
The partnership is looking to address ongoing challenges faced by organisations in accessing accurate and comprehensive media intelligence across both Arabic and English, particularly from regional and local outlets, often underrepresented by global providers.
As part of the agreement, Aligator will work with BLJ Worldwide to further develop its proprietary OLLI media intelligence platform. OLLI provides sentiment analysis, competitive benchmarking, and AI-generated insights in both languages, including dialect-specific analysis.
The collaboration intends to ensure the platform meets the needs of communications professionals, brands, and government entities across Qatar and the wider region.
Real-world testing
BLJ Worldwide will contribute its local market expertise and sector experience to support product development, providing feedback and real-world testing of OLLI’s evolving features.
Iman Asante, Managing Director at BLJ Worldwide, said: “This collaboration is a great step forward in addressing some of the evolving challenges within media monitoring. By combining our market experience with Aligator's technology, we hope to play a meaningful role in shaping a locally built platform that serves the needs of organisations across Qatar and the region.”
Ali Abbas, founder and CEO of Aligator, added: “OLLI was built to solve a real challenge facing brands and organisations in this region when it comes to monitoring, reporting and extracting actionable insights." Abbas further went on to say how with BLJ’s on-the-ground expertise and market knowledge, they were looking to accelerate the development of the features that will matter most to the industry. "We’re proud to be exporting homegrown innovation that speaks the region’s language, literally and strategically,” he said.
Both parties have committed to ongoing collaboration through regular review sessions, with a focus on aligning product development with market requirements and exploring potential feature exclusivity.
The partnership is expected to strengthen access to localised, Arabic-first media intelligence solutions, supporting organisations in an increasingly complex regional media landscape.
