Social media analyst, Starcount, has found the top ten most popular brands on social media as seen in August this year. The interesting infographic shows Samsung to be top of the list after having a large increase in Twitter and Facebook fans recently. With Microsoft Windows coming up in second place, gaining popularity after announcing the retirement of its chief Steve Ballmer. Other well-known brands such as Coco-Cola, Nike, MTV and Google made the list, with social networking sites YouTube and Twitter even making an appearance. See infographic below.
