Perhaps I’m just jealous, but the treadmill of minor/sometimes major celebrities on day time TV does kind of irritate me. Let me be clear; I realise the use of a celeb is a good way to get coverage on an otherwise pretty droll subject but this is not really my issue.
It’s those 5 minutes of fame (at best) celebrities who constantly seem to crop up endorsing various campaigns or products. I wouldn’t mind so much but they get good money. The fee can range from between £2K and £5K for a radio day, up to £10K for a TV campaign or a contribution to a press release.
£10K for turning up in a chauffeur driven car, sipping coffee, doing the TV takes then the radio rounds, and then off home. Yep, I’m just jealous.
