As the January transfer windowdraws to a close, we can see who has received the biggest buzz and high speculation across social networking sites. In our last football transfer infographic, once again courtesy of Meltwater Group, we can see that Frank Lampard has been the most talked about player this week – he was mentioned in 19 per cent of all #transferwindow hits. Over the period of the past week, they monitored over 250 million different sources, across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, blogs, message boards, forums, Wikipedia etc. The key words used were all of the Premier League football club names in association with; January window OR Transfer window. That data was then taken to produce the word cloud (ie, the more times a word is mentioned, the biger it appears on the cloud).
