84% of 18-29 year olds in the US have a Facebook account, compared to just 40% being signed up to Twitter, according to a recent infographic by Mashable.
The survey undertaken by Harvard’s Institute of Politics polled over 3,000 18-29 year olds, covering a wide range of subjects including what social media platforms they currently had accounts for.
The result highlighted the mass usage of Facebook within this demographic, while other platforms such as Instagram only received 36% and WhatsApp a mere 9%.
Google+ came second in the poll with 44%, while Foursquare sat at the bottom with just 6% reach.
