Made me laugh when I heard a PR awards scheme had their entry deadline next week. Nothing against the Fresh Awards, I like what they are doing with the program. What made me laugh was the visual I had about working in PR agencies in December. Deadlines aplenty is the memory I have. Client reviews, new business pitches, journo Christmas lunches, client Christmas lunches, the agency's Christmas lunch and that’s before the normal 8 – 6 day job of press releases and sell ins. I remember some git making me do a pitch on Christmas Eve! So good luck, and Happy Christmas, all PROs. Just don’t forget that awards entry!
