Bottle PR’s charity cycle victory

Bottle PR’s charity spinning week has ended with huge success. The team pedalled a collective total of 647 miles and raised over £2000 for game charity, SpecialEffect.

The Bottle members took turns on the hot seat between 9am – 5.30pm from Monday to Friday, ensuring the exercise bike was constantly spinning. The whole event was streamed live via their website and regular tweets were scheduled to encourage engagement and as many donations as possible.

The event was all in aid of SpecialEffect charity, which develops special equipment for severely disabled children that enables them to take part in the fun and inclusion of gaming with their friends and family.

The initial target of 500 miles and £1500 in donations was beaten after the impressive effort from all the Bottle cyclers, as well as a number of other generous people and organisations.

SpecialEffect’s Head of Communications, Mark Saville said, “We’ve been blown away by BOTTLE’s creativity and enthusiasm in promoting and staging the event, and the amount that they’ve raised is simply stunning! They’ve kindly provided us with invaluable support in many areas of our work and by providing support, they’re helping hundreds of people with physical disabilities to have a better quality of life.”

After the huge success of the fundraiser BOTTLE have put together a team, headed by Associate Director Emilie Lien, to handle day to day press office activity for the charity, in addition to personal fundraising projects that BOTTLE has set itself.
