Ben Howard and Vampire Weekend top this week’s PR chart
I’m addicted to music. On my way to work, in the gym or on my way home, my music is always on. But when it comes to picking music in the office, I think it’s fair to say that I am some way down the pecking order as my taste in music tends to be slightly, well, different.
So, here’s my top five tracks to get me through the day (which is complemented by a lot, and I mean a lot, of tea):
Dog is dead – The State We’re In
Okay, it’s slightly pessimistic, but it’s one hell of a powerful song to get you ready for the day ahead.
Two Door Cinema Club – Lavender
The perfect after-lunch pick me up. Your stomach is satisfied, so your ears deserve to be too, right?
Jack Garratt – Surprise Yourself
A genuinely meaningful and emotive song that makes me think every time – maybe you should surprise yourself?
Vampire Weekend – Oxford Comma
This could have been any song by a band that I absolutely love. An absolute classic, a crowd-pleaser. It’s extremely catchy and the perfect song to listen to on the way to a meeting.
Ben Howard – Only Love
It’s been a long day. Your head is pounding. There’s only one solution, the calming tones of Mr Ben Howard.
