PR Account Manager - Resonates

We're looking for a PR account manager with a keen eye for detail and a passion for climate focused, purpose-driven PR and marketing communications to join our growing team.

To apply for this role you must have previous PR experience (whether agency or in-house), have a sound understanding of the industries Resonates specialises in, enjoy writing and proven experience of managing multiple accounts.

This role is perfect for a driven, ambitious and well-organised individual, and someone that is looking to make a real contribution and impact to client accounts.

You'll be the main point of contact for several of our clients, responsible for ensuring we deliver effective results and value.


Essential duties

You will work as a member of the delivery team to:

  • Manage day-to-day PR and marketing campaigns for a portfolio of clients
  • Build relationships with client teams
  • Manage and attend client meetings
  • Develop relationships with media contacts
  • Pitch features, interviews, commentary and news to target media
  • Manage client delivery ensuring quality and schedule goals are met
  • Analyse and report on results against KPIs
  • Plan monthly work schedules and targets
  • Pitch fresh and innovative ideas to clients to maintain PR momentum
  • Keep up to date with industry trends including technology, regulatory and competitive issues
  • Plan and schedule activity and key deliverables across the agency


Key skills and aptitudes

  • A proven understanding of the PR process, including knowledge and experience of what editors look for in a story
  • The skills required to identify a story opportunity, find an angle on behalf of a client, create a pitch and fulfil the deliverable
  • The ability to critique and improve press communications, including news releases and pitches
  • The initiative to build, nurture and maintain media relationships with target publications
  • Confidence to set realistic expectations with clients regarding outcomes
  • A current and thorough knowledge of the evolving PR landscape, including digital, social and traditional channels
  • Excellent communication skills – both spoken and written
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and deliverables
  • The ability to quickly and accurately produce and edit written work
  • An ability to interpret complex ideas and communicate them in plain English


Qualifications and experience

  • Degree qualified
  • At least 3-5 years working in B2B public relations with progressive job responsibilities, and/or a track record in working as a freelancer managing clients
  • Interest and experience working in a technology marketing role or managing technology clients is essential
  • Agency experience would be an advantage


Salary and benefits*

  • Salary range from £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Location and office

We’ve adopted a hybrid working approach with regular face-to-face days at our co-working space in Newbury. Location is flexible, but you must be available to travel to customer sites, and our Newbury office, when required.

The work environment is fun, casual, and collaborative.
