£25,000 • Crest Communications • London
We’re looking for two curious, creative and ambitious Junior Account Executives to join our team at Crest.
We’re one of the UK’s leading boutique PR agencies, partnering with ambitious start-ups and scale-ups to build brands people care about.
We have two open roles:
- Junior Account Executive (Consumer Tech PR)
- Junior Account Executive (Tech & VC PR)
In our Consumer Tech PR team, you will be working across some of our most exciting consumer-driven PR accounts, spanning healthcare, property, and the future of work. If you love a trending story and want to work with companies that shape how we live, work and stay well, this role is for you.
In our Tech & VC PR team, you will work across our visionary tech- and VC-led PR portfolio, spanning fintech, healthtech, venture capital and AI. If you’re fascinated about innovation and how tech companies get funded and grow, this role is for you.
What is PR?
- Not to be confused with advertising or marketing, PR focuses on building awareness and credibility for companies by building relationships with journalists and securing coverage for clients in trusted media outlets
- This includes placing stories in newspapers, magazines, podcasts and newsletters - and securing speaking slots for key spokespeople at events
- For example, this could mean securing an interview with a CEO in The Times, or helping a client announce a scientific breakthrough on BBC News
- We work to develop stories and ideas that journalists, editors and producers will want to share with their readers and viewers
- Our job involves spotting newsworthy angles and opportunities, crafting compelling narratives, nurturing journalist relationships, handling major news announcements, and placing stories in the right publications at the right time
What you’ll be doing
- Crafting creative press angles for B2B and B2C brands which will resonate with national publications, magazines, podcasts and broadcast media
- Spotting trends in client data and helping turn insights into compelling stories
- Writing press releases, blogs and thought leadership content
- Managing and creating content for LinkedIn
- Researching journalists and building meaningful media relationships
- Briefing clients for media interviews and speaking events
- Measuring and reporting on the impact of our PR work
- Supporting on the day-to-day management and delivery of key client briefs
We’re looking for candidates who
- Are ready to get hit the ground running and take on responsibility from day one
- Understand the difference between PR and other marketing or advertising disciplines
- Love writing and can turn complex concepts into clear, engaging stories
- Are confident communicators – on email, on the phone, and in meetings
- Are plugged into the news and understand what makes for a strong story
- Think analytically and enjoy spotting patterns and generating insights
- Are proactive, curious and use their initiative to suggest next steps and ideas
- Are organised, diligent and conscientious team players
- Have a genuine interest in current affairs and an understanding of both legacy and emerging media platforms: this is essential
What you’ll get
- £25,000 pro rata salary
- You’ll gain exposure to real clients, will help generate high-profile media moments, and will be trusted with meaningful responsibility from the outset - not just administrative tasks
- You’ll be working with an experienced and talented team in a supportive, fast-paced environment, with regular mentorship and the opportunity for quick progression
- Hybrid working, with x2 days per week in our central London office
- Half-day Fridays all year round
- Quarterly team away days and monthly team drinks
- Annual team volunteering days
- An annual health budget to spend on essentials - like dentist appts, therapy and eye tests
- 25 days of annual leave (not including Christmas - we do a company shutdown and give everyone additional time off over Christmas and New Year)
