Salary: £56,000-60,000 + commission incentivised new business bonus

HAWK Publicity is an independent entertainment PR agency representing some of the most exciting talent, brands and cultural projects across music, creators, live events and podcasts.

We build campaigns designed to cut through noise, shaping conversations, creating moments and connecting audiences to artists in meaningful ways. As the agency continues to grow, we’re looking for a Head of Publicity to lead campaigns, support the team and play a central role in how HAWK evolves.

This is a senior role for someone ready to step beyond execution and take ownership, someone who enjoys both thinking and doing, and who thrives in a collaborative, ideas-led environment.

The Role

You’ll oversee multiple client campaigns from strategy through to delivery, working closely with the Managing Director while becoming a trusted day-to-day lead for clients, media and talent.

You’ll help shape narratives, guide publicity moments and ensure projects run smoothly whether that’s a release campaign, live show, announcement or long-term profile build.

No two days are the same at HAWK: one morning might be a strategy call with talent management, the afternoon a photoshoot or interview day, and the evening spotting an angle that turns into tomorrow’s headline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client strategy and campaign planning across the roster
  • Write and shape press materials, finding the strongest news angles and stories
  • Pitch interviews, features, news and reviews across print, online, radio, TV, podcasts and digital platforms
  • Confidently manage in-person promo including interview days, shoots and junkets
  • Build and maintain media relationships across entertainment, culture and lifestyle
  • Working alongside the MD to generate new business, contributing to proposals and award entries
  • Manage crisis communications alongside the MD
  • Stay culturally aware, spotting opportunities, trends and conversations relevant to clients

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years PR experience working with talent or entertainment projects
  • Strong media relationships across press, broadcast and digital creators
  • Confident speaking to managers, artists and stakeholders day-to-day
  • Calm, organised and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Comfortable juggling multiple campaigns in a fast-moving environment
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Calm, solutions-focused and confident working independently

Support & Structure

You’ll be supported by a Publicity Assistant, who will help with:

  • Press cuttings and collating client reports
  • Press release servicing
  • Updating media lists and databases
  • Talent invites
  • Playlist searches
  • Social media monitoring
  • Media sell ins and assistance with pitching
  • Conducting general research

This allows you to focus on strategy, pitching at top level for talent and campaign execution.

Why HAWK

We’re a small team by design. That means real ownership of campaigns, direct relationships with clients, flexibility and trust in how you work and a supportive, friendly culture without hierarchy or ego. We care about good work and good people and we want someone who’ll help shape the next chapter of the agency.

Due to the volume of applications, we’re unable to respond to everyone - only successful candidates will be contacted for interview.
