Role: Head of Brand, PR & Content

Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB. We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum DOE+ up to a 10% discretionary annual bonus and our extensive benefits

Employment type: Full time

Working hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week. We work on a core hours principle. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00; you can work around these to suit you!

The Head of Brand, PR, and Content is responsible for defining, building, and protecting the company's brand equity across all touchpoints. This leader oversees brand strategy, brand communications, public relations, editorial direction, and content marketing creation and approval to ensure a consistent, compelling narrative that drives awareness, credibility, and demand.

This role combines strategic brand stewardship with hands-on leadership across earned media, owned content, executive communication and reputation management.

What you'll be doing?

  • Lead the company's brand strategy, including identity, positioning, messaging, and brand architecture
  • Safeguard and evolve the brand across all touchpoints, ensuring consistent tone of voice and visual identity
  • Oversee reputation management, including sentiment monitoring, executive reporting, and crisis communications
  • Develop proactive strategies to protect and enhance corporate reputation, including ESG and DEI alignment
  • Provide creative leadership across campaigns, guiding designers, writers, and external agencies to deliver impactful work
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated brand, PR, and content initiatives that support commercial goals
  • Define and oversee the content strategy across all channels, ensuring a cohesive narrative and high-quality output
  • Optimise content for engagement, SEO, and conversion, using analytics to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead innovation in content creation, including the adoption of AI tools to increase efficiency and scale
  • Manage the approval process for all content to ensure regulatory compliance and brand consistency
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
  • Influence senior stakeholders and manage external partners to deliver best‑in‑class brand, PR, and content execution


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Design or a related discipline; a Master's is advantageous
  • Extensive experience in brand strategy, creative direction, content leadership, or related fields, including experience of managing a team
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful brand campaigns and cohesive content strategies
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative direction, brand storytelling, and multi‑channel execution
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, social platforms, and integrated content ecosystems
  • Proven ability to inspire, guide, and develop high‑performing creative and content teams
  • Highly organised, with strong planning, prioritisation, and project management skills
  • Proficient in Asana or comparable workflow and collaboration tools
  • Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated industries and their communication requirements
  • Ability to drive creative vision while ensuring brand consistency and high‑quality output
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, including media, PR, and social distribution channels
  • Digitally savvy, with experience using CMS platforms and emerging content technologies
