PRmoment's latest web chat looked at the issue of PR Spam: Is it a problem and what's the solution?
On the panel we had:
Adam Parker, Chief Executive, RealWire
Adam is responsible for the strategy and development of the RealWire business. Adam took on his executive role in early 2006, having been a non-executive director since the company began. He is a Chartered Accountant and has previously spent over nine years with PricewaterhouseCoopers working in the Corporate Finance and Business Advisory service lines. He was recently the spokesman for the Inconvenient PR Truth campaign regarding irrelevant press release emails. He blogs at www.showmenumbers.com and tweets as @AdParker.
James Redgrave, from FT Advisor
James will be gave the journo perspective on the isssue of PR Spam. He started in journalism at the South Essex and East London based Enquirer newspaper series in 2005, before moving to the FT's Financial Adviser title in April 2008 as a reporter. He was then senior reporter on Incisive Media's Investment Week between Jan and Oct 09, then back to the FT on Pensions Week, where he is news editor.
James gets circa 50 emails a day from PROs and thinks his (and your) time could be better spent!
