We do our speediest interview yet with Alex Bigg, CEO of agency MHP Communications, where we find out that his first ambition was to be a ‘Professional’, but not necessarily a PR professional…
What did you want to be when you were a teenager?
What Bodie and Doyle from The Professionals got up to on TV seemed quite a cool thing to be doing.
Would your teenage self be pleased with the way things have turned out?
Of course not, I should have been a Professional!
How did you get your first break?
Weber Shandwick’s Colin Byrne responding to my badly worded letter and inviting me in for an interview.
What is the best career decision you have made?
Choosing an industry that is forever changing and growing in importance.
Any career regrets?
My Saturday job at Bejam’s was probably a low point!
Why MHP?
Because I get to work with an incredible group of talented individuals and lead an agency with enormous potential.
What advice can you give to others in the communications industry?
To take the occasional (educated) risk.
