PR Manager - E.ON

We need everyone’s positive energy and innovative thinking to help lead the transition to new energy. That’s why we welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences, and offer a range of flexible working options to suit everyone.

We’re looking for a PR Manager to join our External Affairs team on a permanent basis, helping to promote and protect E.ON UK’s reputation among consumers as part of a dynamic team. This role is based at our Citigen site in London and offers a hybrid working model.

Reporting to the Consumer PR Lead, you’ll deliver compelling media relations activity that builds trust, raises awareness of our innovative products and services, and highlights how E.ON is making new energy work for everyone — from helping customers lower their bills to positively impacting the communities we serve. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a pipeline of credible, relevant, and engaging stories

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver creative stories and campaigns that engage consumer audiences.
  • Respond to media enquiries as part of our always-on press office and on-call rota.
  • Monitor and manage issues, helping to safeguard and strengthen E.ON’s reputation among consumers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across E.ON Next and the wider business to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with E.ON’s strategy.
  • Analyse PR output and media coverage to support data-driven decision making.

What we need from you

  • Strong media relations experience, ideally delivering national campaigns for consumer brands.
  • A journalistic mindset, strong writing skills, and a great instinct for a story.
  • Proven experience managing issues and delivering effective communications under pressure.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across complex environments.
  • A proactive, energetic approach with agility, integrity, and resilience.
  • A passion for turning complex ideas into compelling storytelling.
