Are you a PR Account Manager looking for an agency that has nailed delivering high standards for clients alongside work-life balance for its employees? Do you have a sharp instinct for storytelling, a track record of securing standout media coverage, a glittering history of events and campaigns, and the client-facing skills to lead with confidence and creativity? Perhaps you’ve finished a stint in a larger London team and are moving outside the city – but you're worried this means giving up the fun, thrill and glamour. If so, DMC PR wants to meet you. About DMC PR

Founded in 2005 DMC PR is an ever-evolving, boutique PR agency with a reputation for delivering exceptional coverage for brands across the broad and desirable spectrum that is the ‘consumer lifestyle’ sector – think food, fitness, beauty, consumer tech, wellness, interiors and design.

There are many things that set us apart from others, but most notably is our desire to be a great results driven company to work at and a great company to work with. This is why both clients and staff stay with us for many years. We reward loyalty and hard work. And in return you will be part of an agency that cares about being the best – valuing quality over quantity.

Our current clients are a mixture of British, Scandi and global brands. Names include the leading Swedish heritage adventure brands Silva and Primus; B Corps such as Blueair (Swedish consumer tech brand) and ProCook (cookware retailer with 60+ UK stores); leading Danish furniture brand, JYSK; the UK’s fastest growing fresh Italian food and restaurant brand, Pasta Evangelists; and many more.

There is never a dull moment and when we’re not busy launching the latest innovative product, delicious seasonal menu, or opening a new store, we’re out and about meeting with clients and running events in London, further afield in the UK, and even internationally. In the last few months our team has travelled to Berlin and Valencia and has hosted several large PR events, lunches and trips. Not to mention the monthly one to one press meet ups.

Many clients work with us on influencer campaigns too – from year-long UGC projects to celebrities, athletes and key opinion leaders. We’re particularly good at thinking outside the box when it comes to ambassadors and keeping on top of popular culture and trends is key. Fun fact – we’re finalists in the 2025 ITV bCreator™ awards for Best Lifestyle Campaign.

As a result of all this action we have now created a brand-new, third Account Management role. You will report into the Associate Director and sit alongside our current (and very brilliant) Account Managers in preparation for further growth. We are looking for someone who can bring something new to the table.

But that’s enough about us. Let’s get on to you.

The Role

As a PR Account Manager at DMC PR, you’ll be the behind some of our most exciting client campaigns. You’ll lead accounts day-to-day, build trusted relationships with clients, and craft smart, strategic communications that make headlines.

This will include:

  • Developing and delivering PR strategies and results that are aligned with client goals and expectations
  • Running key accounts and ensuring they are successful. Building relationships with clients and leading on communications and reporting. The client must see you as their expert – they come to you with questions and briefs and you go back with (often creative) ideas and solutions
  • Pitching to media and securing quality coverage. Nurturing current and developing new journalist relationships will be key.
  • Managing and supporting junior team members
  • Staying on top of media trends and shaping campaign ideas
  • Preparing and creating top quality press materials

What we are looking for:

  • Evidence of strong media contacts and examples of excellent media coverage results – national newspapers and top publications. Broadcast is a bonus
  • A super organised, proactive, and natural team leader who isn’t afraid to give their (expert) opinion. A big part of account management is having trust and confidence in your own decision-making and an ability to be vocal and heard.
  • An ability to use critical, lateral and fresh thinking – we need new ideas and we need them often. You are an open contributor.
  • Experience working on campaign proposals, NBD pitching and preparing scope of works. Some commercial understanding of ‘what things cost’ is a must. Ideally you have worked with budgets before and responded to (sometimes tricky) briefs for events and campaigns.
  • A flair for writing – preparing press releases to punchy copy with an almost certainty that all copy and information you prepare for client approval is the best possible work.
  • Ideally some experience with influencer marketing / talent for PR campaigns. We’re a small agency and wearing two hats can be a real benefit.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in a PR agency Account management role working with brands in the consumer lifestyle sector, FMCG or similar.

Considerations for Senior Account Management will include:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a PR AM or SAM role working on well-known consumer brands with high expectations. We believe this is important to set you up for success and provide the high level of service we maintain for clients.
  • A more detailed understanding of the wider marketing landscape – paid, social, SEO, affiliates. We don’t expect you to be an expert in these, but you should understand what our clients are talking about and how they interplay with the PR remit in 2025.
  • Experience of executing PR campaigns/projects/events for clients with budgets and timelines. You are both the ideas person and the executioner.
  • You have a trusted list of of wider industry relationships – from freelancers (stylists, photographers etc) to agents and suppliers in the event world
  • Experience of reporting and presenting to the most senior client contacts such as marketing and PR directors.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and resolve any issues with minimal senior intervention

What We Offer:

  • Competitive and transparent salary
  • Training allowance, career progression and regular pay reviews
  • Genuine hybrid working – we’re in the office 2 days per week (Tues and Wed) and only 3 days when essential for projects
  • Up to 25 days holiday + all bank holidays
  • Health cash plan, railcards
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • A fun, collaborative team where your voice matters
