Role Overview
The Communications Specialist plays a key role in supporting our global growth strategy by helping to deliver impactful internal and external communications. Sitting within a lean yet highly effective communications team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a bold and evolving brand in a fast-paced, creative environment.
We’re looking for a confident communicator who thrives when managing multiple work streams, engages effectively across teams, and brings fresh energy and clarity to everything they do.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of strategic communications plans and campaigns aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders — including executives and subject matter experts — to ensure messaging consistency and brand alignment.
- Write engaging content across a range of platforms, including blog posts, social media (LinkedIn), website copy, and internal comms.
- Create visually appealing templates, videos and other communication materials using design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe).
- Assist with the planning and executing both internal and external events, including comms webinars, student engagement activities, industry panels, and more.
- Track and report on communication performance metrics; make data-informed adjustments to improve impact.
- Produce monthly communications reports featuring key insights, statistics, and dashboards.
- Stay informed on communications trends, best practices, and sector developments.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities, adaptable across touchpoints and audiences.
- Confident in simplifying complex messages into compelling, clear narratives for both internal and external messages.
- Collaborative mindset, with experience working across multiple teams and time zones.
- Visual and brand awareness, with experience using design tools.
- Proactive, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects in fast paced business.
- Commercial awareness and and ability to understand socio-economic & political landscapes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a communications role.
- Previous exposure to senior executives and high-level stakeholders.
- Experience with communications platforms, including PR tools, social media schedulers, CMS, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong data mindset — using metrics and insights to shape communication strategies.
- International mindset and willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience within a global organisation or in the tech, hospitality, or investment sectors is advantageous.
