How you’ll fix communication in healthcare as a Communications & PR Lead...
As the Communications Lead at Accurx (maternity cover), you’ll drive brand awareness and interest through top of funnel content and shape Accurx’s reputation across the care settings we operate in and amongst our key audiences of NHS senior decision-makers and policymakers, with a particular focus on secondary care (acute and community & mental health hospitals).
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you’ll act as a communications expert within the business, providing advice and guidance to senior leaders and GTM teams about strategies and approaches that will help move us towards achieving our company goals, and executing on these.
This is a full-time maternity leave contract (12 months), ideally starting in October.
Your day-to-day tasks, should you choose to accept this mission…
- Leading day-to-day PR: Draft press materials for key moments, secure media coverage and prepare spokespeople to ensure Accurx is consistently positioned as a thought-leader and news moments are maximised. You’ll manage crisis communications, handling media enquiries and drafting social media statements when needed. You’ll use data to measure PR effectiveness and iterate on your strategy with company goals.
- Owning the Accurx Unprescribed podcast: You’ll own the end-to-end production of the Accurx podcast, working directly with Accurx’s CEO (the host). You’ll source and book guests, record, edit and create written, website, video and social media content, and launch episodes. You’ll ensure podcast content supports company and communications objectives, aligns with brand messaging, and reaches key audiences effectively.
- Running a thought-leadership & brand content programme: You’ll identify opportunities to create high-quality thought-leadership content, such as LinkedIn newsletter pieces, opinion pieces, reports and content for speaking opportunities, working closely with thought-leaders. You’ll own brand content, including Accurx’s brand narrative and other assets like brand videos.
- Owning Accurx’s LinkedIn channel: You’ll create and optimise LinkedIn content that resonates highly with target audiences and drives engagement. You’ll educate and empower internal teams, particularly sales, to engage with and share LinkedIn content, helping to expand reach and influence. You’ll monitor LinkedIn performance and adjust content strategies to maximise visibility, engagement, and impact.
