Supermarket chain Aldi seem to be constantly doing great things at the moment. The ‘I am Vegan’ range is set to expand further with its new vegan quarter pounders which Twitter seem to be absolutely gushing about. Now, I’m not a vegan, but these are burgers that I would love to try! They are selling out quick though, so stock up ASAP, and they’re perfect for this heatwave we’re experiencing and the BBQs that are being dusted off.
AS Roma campaign
Italian football club AS Roma has come out to say that each transfer announcement video on social media will help raise awareness about the search for missing children globally. Each announcement on Twitter will include the details and a picture of a missing child in order to help find them. AS Roma is now in talks with a British charity in order to do the same over in England. Molto bene Italy! We should 100% follow suit.

Drink brand Robinsons have recalled bottles and multi packs sold in chain retailers around the UK such as Costco, Tesco and McDonalds’s this week amidst fears that the caps are a potential choking hazard to children. Britvic, which owns the brand, has warned that the bottle cap from its apple and blackcurrant flavoured drinks can detach and potentially pose a safety risk. A small number of reports have caused the product recall, and bottles that were purchased between 22 and 28 June are supposedly the ones that pose a safety risk. Strange though; with all of the quality control tests that this product goes through, why didn’t anybody pick this up sooner?
What a good time to have a bad PR story though; being the main sponsors of Wimbledon, the bad press has been hidden pretty well across the news and over social media channels.
Beauty brand Nivea has come under fire this week as it has lost its advertising agency because of homophobic comments. During a conference call an employee from Nivea was alleged to say: “We don’t do gay at Nivea” in response to a skincare advert where two men were seen holding hands. The idea was rejected and therefore did not run. C’mon guys, it’s 2019 AND it has just been pride month! Isn’t a brand like Nivea supposed to be all-inclusive?!
