PR Account Manager - Evergreen Communications (Part-time)

We're looking for a PR Account Manager to join our growing agency. The ideal candidate will have a background in public relations including creating and securing PR opportunities and handling journalise enquiries with at least two years of experience.

This position is ideal for anyone interested in public relations that can identify PR opportunities, create engaging content and press releases, undertake targeted pitching and provide effective communication to a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Daily point of contact with key media contacts
  • Developing industry, sector and product focused PR campaigns
  • Managing the needs of our clients and their accounts
  • Contributing to client meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR activities
  • Keeping abreast of current PR trends and tools
  • Building client relationships and maintaining a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople
  • Spearheading both traditional PR and social media projects
  • Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services
  • Fulfilling the client’s key performance indicators and growing accounts
  • Being involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals
  • Managing a high level of client interaction
  • Tracking all circulation and other KPIs and reporting on these monthly to help inform PR plans
  • Ensuring effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders

Person specification:

  • You should be able to work collaboratively and effectively with other colleagues and clients.
  • You must feel comfortable working on your own and able to manage your own workload.
  • You must have a commitment to marketing, monitoring the latest trends and using your time to be aware of the latest industry developments.
  • You must show keen attention to detail in all activities.
  • You must be able to take initiative and adapt to new and conflicting priorities.
  • You must show passion with dedication to the role and our clients and thrive in delivering results.
  • We’re not looking for a clock watcher, we want someone that is happy to go above and beyond and wants to be a part of growing our thriving agency.

Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Salary: £30,000 per year (pro-rata)

Hours: 20 hours per week over Monday - Friday (core hours are 10am-4pm)

Location: Home-based with some travel to client’s offices

Education: Minimum of A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Public Relations: 2 years (preferred)
